All that is needed to make this work in VS2012 is to alter the version number. Install for VS2010. Copy "BuildVersionIncrement.Addin" and "BuildVersionIncrement.dll" to a folder on your VS2012 AddIns path. Then edit "BuildVersionIncrement.Addin" and HostApplication.Version node to 11.0. That's all... it works fine.

Downloaded, saw versions for VS08 and VS05, not VS10 or VS12. Followed feedback suggestion of editing Addin file to allow version "11.0" -- enabled addin in VS12 - addin crashes. Please update - this is a needed feature that MS missed.

Worked perfectley for me on an english VS 2010 SP1 running on a german W7 x64, although I only used the "auto increment" and none of the date-features. Thank you very much for this feature. Can't understand why MS didn't offer a similar functionality... Delphi could this 15 years ago... ;-)

A perfect add-on provide real numbers for the version numbers which relate to dates and times of build. Well done to the author.

My first time using the plugin and it works great so far. Baffling that this doesn't come "out of the box" with VS2008. My only qualm after 30 minutes of fiddling with it is that I got a VS warning when I did the first build saying that files were modified in memory (the AssemblyInfo.cs file) and should it ignore this in the future. Not a big deal...maybe it should be covered in the doc though.

Could you please offer a release update, that contains change set 62509 (Global logging switch)? The logging of the latest release into the VS output window is really annoying. Nevertheless, great job! This nice add-in is a 'must have' one. Thanks!

This project is great time saver for the complex projects. I currently have 40+ projects and keeping versions in the sync is trivial with this tool.

It's really a shame something of this nature isn't built into Visual Studio. When you're debugging a problem with a user, you don't want to have to guess at the number. The project gives tremendous flexibility with the version numbers and I personally think it's awesome.

Great add-in, works as described. Saves me from punching myself in the face every time I forget to increment the build number. My face thanks you.

Nice feature, especially when you can use Global Settings and apply to the multiple projects in the solution!

Using in MSVS 2010: Does what it says. It's best to only auto increment with a full rebuild, or Release Build since MSVS will only build changed assemblies. So if the version changes and the project is not built, you will recieve errors. This is a nice addin. Thank you for your great efforts. It saved me hours of incrementing the versions. Great Job!
